• Congratulations to the Raids for finishing 12th in the 2008 VA State Tournament. The Rapids qualified 5 wrestlers this past weekend.

Earning 3rd place in the state was Jared Anongas (130). Earnig a 4th place finish was Patrick Nowacyzk (140), and finishing 5th was Jordan Dix (125).

• Congratulations to the Raids for placing 2nd in the 2008 Central Region Tournament. The Rapids qualified 5 wrestlers for the VA State Tournament taking place Feb 22nd and 23rd at VA Beach.

Earning first place in the region were Jordan Dix (125), Jared Anongas (130), and  Patrick Nowacyzk (140). Earning second place was Bryan Poole (285). Also placing third for the Rapids was Grant Edwards (152).

Jard Anongas earned the honor of Most Outstanding Wrestler for the tournament.
