CENTRAL VIRGINIA CHALLENGE
JANUARY 26-27, 2007

What:             A COMPETITIVE, varsity-style event for all sub-varsity wrestlers in the Central Region.  The goal of this tournament is to provide a quality, varsity-style, end-of-the-season tournament to younger and more inexperienced wrestlers in the region as well as promote the development of new talent.  

Where:           James River High School

Registration: This tournament is open to all sub-varsity wrestlers (no seniors!) that have wrestled less than three varsity matches during the course of the year.  Each team may enter a maximum of two wrestlers per weight class, but only one wrestler per weight class will be allowed to score team points.  Fax line-ups to Coach Helberg by 3:00pm on January 25, 2006

Entry Fee:      $200 for a team (up to 14 wrestlers), $10 for each additional wrestler. Checks (made payable to “James River HS”) must be received no later than January 26, 2007.

Format:          6 mats, 14-weight class, double elimination, 16-man brackets (possible 32 man for a pig tail round)
                       
Awards:          Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place individuals as well as top-three team.
